The Firefly preventive protection system indicates glowing particles, sparks or flames and eliminates these before reaching risk zones in the process by applying extinguishing or suffocation agents.

Firefly Process inertisation using C02 gas in combination with Firefly fast isolation valves for confining a process section is a very effective method of preventing a fire from spreading to other areas of the process installation. The choice of inert gas and the quantity is dependent on the character of the process in question.

Firefly C02 cylinders are tripped by an electrically controlled explosive activator.

Firefly Cylinder battery is used when larger quantities of gas are required. The first cylinder in the battery is tripped electrically and subsequent cylinders trip each other following a pneumatic route by means of the pressure in the previous cylinder.

Firefly C02 cylinders are available in a number of sizes from 2 kg up to 45 kg.
