Generally the risk of fire or an explosion in an industrial process can be pin-pointed to one or more critical areas within the installation.

The Firefly preventive protection system indicates glowing particles, sparks or flames and eliminates these before reaching risk zones by applying extinguishing or suffocation agents.

The control unit CU-E is the heart of the Firefly protection system offering unique and advanced features. Integrated processor, 1/0 card, keyboard, LCD display and battery back-up provide assured and easy operation.

System operations can be fully optimised using the newly patented Firefly system for glow-energy measurement. Maximum security is achieved with a minimum of disruption to the process using precisely balanced extinguishing methods.

The control unit is installed close to the process section to be protected. thus giving benefits such as, low installation costs, minimum cable lengths between units, easy placement facilitating installation, service and maintenance.

Up to 8 detectors, 3 external sensor circuits, 1 water flow sensor, 8 solenoid valves, 2 explosion tripping circuits, 4 switching alarm contacts and data communications can he connected to the control unit.
